Trading Time vision of movement

Trading Time

We’re all moving. We’re all on a continuous cycle.

A room is just a room. But there’s something about one’s space. It has meaning where before it was a shell.

Is the sum of a human being the point? Or is there an aspect to our lives that has greater meaning?

Every waking moment should have value.

Not a square inch of space should be wasted.

I filled my humble room over the span of 2 months. It took much more time this way, but the room has a realness now. I feels like it is my own. And now I want to hold what I’ve got.

It gets hot down here. But I love it. It’s hot so I change my clothes. It’s dark so I get good sleep.

But an reasonable place to live that has access to what you need is key for getting things done.

Each time I went to my storage unit to remove a new item, I knew I was faced with a choice. Something for ascetic value, or something for utilitarian purposes.

Then there were the boxes that were unmarked. Those were like little cardboard shaped surprises. Presents to oneself.

I’ve found art that I made decades ago in pristine condition. Things that I thought I’d lost forever, pieces of one’s adolescence and teenage years that were presumed to be felt in memory only…if not forgotten completely.

To have someone’s memory repaired, rejuvenated. For what are we if not the culmination of remembered moments?

Then there were tired documents. Things meant to be forgotten. Purging of papers that have no meaning anymore. Receipts for gasoline from 2006, receipt for sneakers from 2007.

The video is a record of both song and time. An imprint of forgotten moments with music that symbolizes the uncertainty of physical change.

Regardless of where I’m going, I’m here now.

Broccoli, Mushrooms and Carrots

broccoli, carrots and mushrooms

I like to cook. Cooking for myself takes a long time. But it is worth it because I get to control the ingredients and the preparation style.

This is some simple broccoli, mushrooms and carrots. I just boiled the stuff and made some rice to put underneath.

I used butter as well as eggs to increase the calories and nutrients in the dish.

The trick is to boil the veggies until they become so soft that almost all the water is gone away. The veggies will be a sort of sloppy stew.

Many people say that boiling vegetables makes the nutrients go away. That is actually only true if you drain the water. If you keep boiling everything until it becomes a reduction, the nutrients will stay in the stew. Where could the nutrients go if you don’t drain the water?

It’s almost silly that people don’t think of that.

It’s not like the nutrients get absorbed into the wok. That’d be ridiculous. That only happens if you do something like bake peanut oil into your wok to make it sealed. But that’s completely different.

The company I work for called, energyrebels.com sells this Tikka Masala Sauce that I’ve used. It actually makes the stew taste a litter better. It adds some extra flavor to it. Here’s a link to check out the article I wrote on the sauce.

You all think you are so tough.com. Well, life is serious. And sometimes it’s hard to avoid the ghosts. I’m not talking about ghosts in the shell or ghosts in the machines…I’m talking about the ghosts in pacman.

These ghosts were hovering so quickly…I couldn’t get away. Why?

They are moving quickly because this was some sort of bootleg combo case. The speeds of pacman were jacked way up. Stage One is not supposed to be this hard.

I’m not going to mention the pizza parlor that had this game because I don’t want them to get in trouble. But maybe you already can tell what place this is by the other games in the beginning of the video.

This reminds me of a story, it’s a story about a puppy that was getting a blood test. But this blood test wasn’t for rabies…it was for the heart of the champion.

The puppy’s name was William Wallace. He was a Schnauzerfrom Connecticut and his owners noticed that he wasn’t burying bones in the back yard anymore. The owners felt that the New England air was perfect for a dog to breathe in all the scents of the backyard. So burying a bone and trying to find it was a healthy thing for the young dog. Also, the owners didn’t have to play with the dog while William Wallace was burying bones.

One day, William Wallace buried a bone in the back yard. It was a milk bone. The puppy buried the bone, but two weeks later the bone wasn’t there. The bone had turned into the ghosts from pacman and I hate that bootleg garbage.

Hard Working Spider

Hard Working Spider

Hard Working Spider - CLICK to see the video

It was late last night. I saw a spider working really hard on making her web. She was crafting it extra detailed, so I think that it means that the spider is probably poisonous. Harvest was supposed to be the cinemadirector (that’s a new position in the industry that I just made up for her). But she was making too much noise. So I had to quiet the set.

One of the cool things about spiders, is that they seem to show a great deal of precision when they make their webs. Her little legs would all work in unison as she would put the silk in the proper position.

It must have been fun for the spider to make her web near the lamp. She likes to work at night, but then she gets the best of both worlds. The spider gets the benefit of a quiet and relaxing night…but then she also has a little working light. The light also doubles as a showcase spotlight when she finished her work.

Sometimes it gets emotional to see spiders. They do such hard work, but since they are so little, only a few notice their craftsmanship. That’s why I wanted to share this video. So maybe a few of us can appreciate.

Her name is Mochi-Faliaxia III and she is new to America. She came in a basket of oranges from Romania. Her favorite movies are Speed 2, The Last Picture Show and Unforgiven.

If you’d like to know more about her then watch the video below. That’s because everything you need to know is for show in her work. It is her living auto-biography.
