Sven, Vigilance and Helixia at High Hrothgar

[This is a fan fiction based on the “Skyrim” (Elder Scrolls) universe] Today was a sad day. While Sven, Vigilance and Helixa were trying to help a traveler who was in dire straits…something terrible happened. This is the story from the perspective of the heroine, Helixia…and embedded below is her song (although I’m a guy so I’m singing her song but you can use your imagination).

The day was ripe with the smell of Tundra Cotton and Red Mountain flowers. Sven and I were on our way to seek out the Silver Hands and their encampment.

But before we could complete our journey, a merchant told us he needed our help. It seems he was on his way to the neighboring town to deliver supplies. But in fact, he was preparing a trap.

1954 San Francisco Uncirculated Quarter mix

I bought a hot Venti tea today. It was going to be charged $2.75…and I was like, “Um, so I’m pretty sure that Venti’s get 2 teabags…so I don’t think you need to charge me an extra 30 cents for an ‘add teabag’ (upset face).”

So then he fixed that an I got 55 cents back plus some bills. The cents were what I really cared about.

One quarter and a nickel were OK, but this nice quarter got my attention.

It had solid weight to it and it looked good. I wasn’t sure about it.

Then I looked at the date, “1954” and I said, “OOOOOOH!!!”

It was an uncirculated 1954 San Francisco Quarter. So snapety snap snaps.

If you’ve read my article on pennies are expensive then you’d understand how much of a coin collector and enthusiast I am.

So when I saw the 1954 in there I was very happy. I looked at it and the condition was so excellent. There is barely any wear on the quarter and it has amazing depth and quality. Only the tails side has any signs of discoloration. But it is beyond mint in my opinion.

After looking up prices I found that a quarter of this quality has a MINIMUM value of $6.00 – that’s right six bucks or more.

Now do you see what I’m talking about? I bought a drink for $2.45 and then received a coin that is worth six dollars or more. That’s smart business sense for ya!
