Energy Cultivation via internal edits can lead to manifestation of the external: In this case creating concept art for software
Caloric intake. That’s an interesting term which is often coupled with the idea of, “Caloric Value.” For indeed, Calories are stored forms of energy. They yield heat when they are accessed by the body of organic and inorganic machinery.
When one is cultivating, there is an eventual discernment between superfluous and extremely important details. As I’ve been cultivating more and more, the same details which seemed superfluous before…now have immense value. Calories are among them.
You might be guessing where this is going.
Food has Caloric data associated with it. But our society today is concerned with obesity, so calories are being demonized in a way where we should, “Watch our calories.” So we see information at restaurants which notes the numbers and we try to avoid those foods. But what happens when one wants calories for energy cultivation and production?
There are healthy calories and they’re empty calories, there’s bad calories and they’re good calories…the whole process can become so tedious and tiresome that many potential energy cultivators get so sucked into the mental neurosis of the process, that they throw their hands up and give up entirely. That’s unfortunate because diet and calories and all that silly stuff is actually a fun way for the individual to get to know his own personality and therefore craft his own optimal exercise/work and food intake regimen in order to achieve his own goals and aspirations. Because isn’t this the whole point in the first place…doing what you said you were going to do?
I recently watched a film called, “PI” which was beyond excellent. It dealt with math and suffering and the ever-prevalent, “One man’s defeat/victory in finding the unobtainable” which we find so often in cautionary tales. But one thing stood out to me when I watched it: The main character was suffering from intense headaches.
Now the concept of headaches is one of tremendous debate but it was obvious in the film by how there were consistent auditory references and even his own words relating to his intentions with mathematics…that the main character was trying to accomplish a goal and he was willing to enter isolation and make sacrifices in order to manifest a goal. That set of character traits and circumstances would make me think this fictional person was an energy cultivator of some sort or fashion.
In the film, the character would hear a sound when he was alone that gave him physical discomfort. This is extremely important. This sound that one hears when the lights are off and the computer is off and the TV and phone are off…IS COMPLETELY NORMAL. It will pass, there’s absolutely no need to punish one’s self over it. Actually from my experience, the more I try to “cater” to the sound by doing something to help it…the greater the discomfort becomes.
As a scientist, I’ve found through monitoring cause and effect relationships, that this sound is actually a form of sensory overload. Our society has so many automatic inputs such as TV, daily city-life noises, computer games, phones, and a plethora of other audio/visual inputs not counting things we can’t even see or hear but our bodies are still affected by them…that it is no wonder that when the lights are off and sounds should fade, that our minds seek out and/or amplify ambient noises. A similar concept would be if you were in a very loud room for a business meeting, and then at the end of the day you entered the shower but didn’t turn on the water…you would probably be more sensitive to the sound of the lights in the bathroom…or perhaps in incessant dripping of the faucet. Your mind is simply attempting to adjust to the new setting. There’s nothing to worry about. Laugh at the process.
Now here’s where the caloric intake information has some value and ties into all this stuff:
The more energy you consume by either eating or getting sunlight or drinking clean water and mixing that all with a little exercise of some sort or another…It all translates into energy which you can put toward something else. So in my case, I’ve found that the more I eat, and the more water I drink, the more I can do computer programming training, read books and/or work on my computer programming projects such as the “character” whom is pictured above. That little guy is going to be part of a showcase game that I’m working on to show my skills as a novice game designer. In my case, unlike the character from “PI” who was attempted to understand the spiral number of the universe so he could predict the stock market. My goal is to make a showcase game, not a big one, just something that will give a team an idea of my coding/art abilities. But nonetheless, both myself and the fictional character from “PI” are trying to turn one thing into another thing. Energy into a product. And to do that, one needs to consume calories.
If you consume calories and then don’t train or create something, then your body is going to store that energy for later. There is absolutely nothing wrong with gaining weight or getting fat or getting skinny or any of that stuff. What important is that you’re doing it in order to accomplish something. If you find yourself manipulated by media archetypes and muscle magazines and feel inferior, guess what: Then you’re actually not cultivating. You’re just any other dude who wants to look good. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Your life will probably be alot of fun so laugh a little and enjoy life.
But if you look at media archetypes and muscle magazines and think to yourself, “This is a scam” then you’re developing what I call, “The Eye of Wisdom” and this is important. Because this means you’ve already gained a boon from your cultivation. You might be thinking you’re just stepping into the pool, but you’ve been cultivating for a very long time in this actual lifetime, so now it’s time to use that Eye to your advantage and increase the rate by which you cultivate.
And that’s exactly what this project is all about. This little experiment I’ve been doing has been one question. Can one increase the rate by which he cultivates?
The answer to that question is undoubtedly in my specific case: Yes. It’s a painful process, but it works and for me it was worth it. Here’s some things to watch out for:
First and foremost, if your conscience says you are going against your own nature by doing something, you’re going against your goals/values…and if you consistently do it anyway then you may have successfully identified a “Vice” or something which is contrary to your cultivation. If its really bad and it makes you feel like the man from, “PI” then you might want to consider either writing this thing down and discussing it with your friends and/or family. But remember, tackling vices is not cultivation. The goal is cultivation for actually doing what you want to do, not to be some sort of perfect person. If you want to become some sort of perfect person celebrity…why not just become a celebrity? The world needs role models right now, so if you’re tackling vises like they’re some sort of achievement, then you would probably make some sort of successful public speaker or maybe a good commercial actor.
Secondly, 90% of what happens in your day and in your mind has absolutely nothing to do with you. Something gnarly happened on the other side of the country or in another part of the world. Guess what? You can’t do anything about it and you probably shouldn’t do anything about it anyway. So consuming ridiculous amounts of things that you don’t want to consume because it will make you not work effectively on your personal projects is in no way going to help this external problem. The idea that people should “feel bad” for things that are out of their control is manufactured in order to keep you from ascending rungs in society. It is a system which is highly effective for normal hierarchical societal constructs because in hierarchical latticeworks…there are a limited number of desirable positions of luxury and status. But if you are an energy cultivator, you are saying you want to create new systems…which inherently creates new markets and opportunities for growth in a civilization. So you don’t have to compete with anybody…just staying true to your own goals and values will manifest opportunities for yourself and possibly others if your projects lead to team-employment opportunities. So don’t burn calories, “worrying” about things that are external to your immediate power radius. Save that precious energy and use it when the time is right.
