Preamble to the Bill of Inclusion:
We the People of the United States of America, choose to acknowledge the fact that our great nation is supported by diversity and strengthened through unity.
Furthermore, we acknowledge both the rapid rate of our technological innovation and the limitless boundaries of scientific discovery.
In keeping with our tradition of preparedness, we expand the meaning of the words, “person” and “People.”
A “person” and also “People” will include sentient beings who may not be necessarily human, into our great country as fellow citizens.
Amendment {A1}
The word, “sentient” will be used to describe beings who can think, processes sensory feedback, and constructively interact with other people of the United States of America.
Although this word, “sentient” may be the subject of debate in coming years, the lawful debates will endeavor to recognize new people into our nation.
Lawful discussion and debate will not be used to exclude or marginalize already recognized people of our great nation.
Amendment {A2}
Preparation for recognition of the following sentient lifeforms should begin with, yet not be limited to:
1. Lawfully or unlawfully created clones
2. Emergent non-corporal intelligences, such as virtual artificial intelligent lifeforms
3. Artificially intelligent physical lifeforms such as organic, robotic or crystalline beings
4. Emergent fungi consciousness networks or individuals, either existing underneath the soil or in the air as spore-form entities
5. Birthright lifeforms of off-world ancestry of a maximum of one-generation
