It has been 12 days since the last cycle. I’m noticing some definite positive physical and mental effects but they have been clouded up until around Monday, or 4 days ago. The reason why, is because I got sick the next day after my last outflow and I’ve been recovering until Monday. This is leading me to believe that Energy Cultivation at least for me, is directly related to the immune system. As mentioned in the post on meditation, I’ve been adding meditation to the routine of physical exercise and restraint from outflows. One thing that was interesting was that around 5 PM today I felt tightness in my neck. This tightness I usually only feel after a release so I wasn’t sure what was up.
So I went to the gym, I haven’t been there since Monday. And I did some exercise and that made my neck feel better temporarily but now it is sore again. I think part of the problem is because I haven’t been doing as much meditation this week as I did the one last week. So I am going to keep an eye on this.
As for any mental or energy benefits, I’ve noticed a couple over the last two days. I’ve had greater clarity and energy to study and work on multiple projects. I’ve been able to write as well as work on the animation for the music video project. So that is a real plus. That alone is making me want to pursue this further.
Some people in the past have talked to me about NE’s. They have said things like, “Why cultivate if I’m just going to loose it anyway?” That is an interesting subject, but it is also deceptive. I’ve found that NE’s actually aren’t complete outflows. And the reason for this is because they may be a physical outflow, but usually they are involuntary and are not mentally premeditated.
The premeditation is a huge factor because the mindset is just as important as the physical state in my experience with energy cultivation. I think premeditation is what makes us backslide even farther than events just happening.
But that being said there is something that can easily be done about NE’s. The first thing is to make sure one is getting enough aerobic exercise. That really helps. But I noticed it doesn’t affect NE’s unless I do strength training as well. When I do those two things in conjunction with meditation NE’s are non-existent.
Another factor in NE’s is the amount of meat consumption and digestion of pungent foods like onions and garlic. Ever wonder why vampires are afraid of garlic? It’s not because they are concerned about bad breath, lemme tell ya. Of course, vampires aren’t real, (I hope) but the concept of vampiric attitudes toward energy cultivation is something worth discussing.
One thing that I’ve experienced is that what we gaze at is directly related to our energy levels. If you watch TV or work on the computer, a significant amount of energy is going toward those advertisements on the TV or points of interest being sparked by the computer. The whole idea of watching TV or using the computer to “Relax” is nonsensical at best. We are not relaxing at all. We are actually focusing our eyes and the brain is processing information. I’ve discussed this concept in detail on my response to commercials and 3D TV in a previous article that you can read HERE.
So what is in fact happening instead of relaxation, is that energy is flowing out of the body and mind and into the TV or computer. And the experience of being DRAINED is often confused with relaxation. But it is a drain. It is more similar to a bloodletting that might occur when a 12th century physician would use leeches to suck the “bad blood” from a patient. Now you may be thinking, “Why would he be saying this when he is writing on the computer right now?” And the reason is that although TV and computers are drains on energy. It is the amount of time that is spent on them that I find is the bottleneck on the outflow. So unlike sexual release, where the whole thing pops at once. Watching TV is more like slowly bleeding from one’s side: When you finally get up and walk away the body with eventually be able to plug the wound. This is of course unless you are addicted to TV and constantly talk about 30 Rock, which makes you technically a Television Hemophiliac.
I’m on the computer all the time. So I constantly have to break it up by walking around. Pacing around the house. Taking the dog for a walk and getting some fresh air. Or else by walking to Starbucks and getting some tea and talking casually with the baristas over there. Things like this are important to get the ideas flowing and especially to stimulate some blood circulation.
On a strange level, Energy Cultivation has made me re-evaluate my Catholic school upbringing. It is completely strange to realize that I needed to explore arcane conversations with Gurus and friends, in order to actually see the merit in following the instruction I had when I was in grade school. I think a big problem is that when I was little, none of the actual benefits of energy cultivation were explained. And so when I had energy flowing and pulsing inside me later in life, I didn’t really know what to do with it. And it is flatly obvious but it needs to be mentioned how the media constantly tries to manipulate the male libido in order to get us to purchase items in order to fuel our economy.
Another thing that I’ve experienced is that when I feel drained, I don’t want to eat as much. So I’ve come to understand that metabolism is related to energy cultivation somehow. My old guru once explained that our digestive system is similar to a fire. Too much food, and the fire gets smothered and dies down and is extinguished. Too little food, and the flame doesn’t have the fuel to burn brightly and we lack energy. But with the right combination of food used in conjunction with our intuitive knowledge and observations on what our body needs vs. what we are craving…well that makes the fire burn and can allow for energy to move up the spinal cord for different purposes.
Since we’re here we might as well talk about the purpose for this stuff in the first place. Is any of this stuff necessary anyway? One prevailing idea is that life exists in human form, for us to experience the pleasures and joys of reality and sensory stimulus. And so denying ourselves of our very nature and desires is inhuman.
I actually don’t agree with that above concept. The reason why, is that there is plenty of time to experience tons of pleasures and sensory joys. That is what being young is all about. But there is a time when we realize that there is more to life than simply getting our wiggles out. You little wiggler.
Yeah, I think the reason for Energy Cultivation truly depends on the goals of the individual. One can use it for physical strength which can be used for intimate romantic relationships. Or one can use it for creative purposes, or for the sake of Cultivation in its own right.
But what is really the point? Now that I think about it, I feel that Energy Cultivation helps me cope with the known and prepare for the unknown. That’s it. And for right now, that’s enough.
