Abnormally High amount of Pedestrians on Avocado

Scenic Road

Lots of People on the Road lately

Today there were a bunch of pedestrians on the road of Avocado here in Corona del Mar. I was on my way back home from the gym and I noticed there were 2 pairs of teenagers walking up the hill that seemed to be in separate groups. And then a minute or so I saw a couple in their late 30’s walking up the hill. I walk home from the gym all the time, on the weekends and during the week. So this was odd seeing 6 people in such a short frame of time on Avocado. This is especially strange because the construction of the government building near the library makes the walk slightly dusty and not visually appealing. So it isn’t really a scenic walk. The first thing that comes to mind is that with the increased price of gasoline people are considering other options for transportation. And I guess walking is the cheapest form. This is, of course, if you don’t count the extra snacks one needs to eat as a result of the exercise.

Another factor may be the nice weather. It was a cool yet very beautiful morning. And there really was no excuse for people to stay indoors. (unless you were stapled to the floor)

Could this be some freak fluctuation in pedestrian based traffic? We will monitor this situation closely and report back with our findings.
