  1. Awesome.

I just have one question: Is a space potato a potato from outerspace, or is it a potato you carry around and use as a space saver, like a portable “reserved” sign?

If it is a potato from outerspace, be careful, because it could be contaminated with the space potato pathogen, you know, the one that will make your children see through walls (neat, you might say, but traumatic under some circumstances).

On the other hand, it could be the other kind of space potato.

Like, “Hey dude, I was sitting there, didn’t you see my space potato?”

    Expiring minds want to know.

  2. To tell you the truth Ron, I never thought of using a potato as a space saving device. I was in New York recently as you know and I often used my Jacket to save my seat. This really came in handy because in New York tables at coffee shops are a prized commodity. I also used my journal that I was drawing my monsters in as a space saver. But part of me thinks that if I used a potato then someone might steal the potato and then take the seat. It is the same reason why a partially filled coffee drink isn’t the best space saver. This one time a lady just picked my drink up and started walking away and proceeded to take the table. I said, “Oh Hi, yeah I can take that thanks…” and the woman said, “Oh you sure we can take the table?” and I said, “Yeah, it’s fine.” People take things. And potatoes aren’t cheap and so if I lost one I would be bummed. So now I’m thinking the best thing might be to decorate the potato in some way. That way people know it is special. Maybe if the potato had a sign around it that said, “Space saving Potato,” then perhaps people might not steal it and use it in their next stew.

  3. Or… Maybe if it WAS a pathogen-infected outerspace potato being used as a space-saving potato, and properly marked as such, then no sane person, or New Yorker, would touch your potato…or your seat, or coffee cup! Something to think about.
