The Galaxyman theme from Megaman 9 is smoother than the Milky Way. It is one of the few Megaman themes that is solid enough that it can be listened to solo, without the remix version or anything. It in its raw 8 bit form is a musical legacy that bumps hard. It is definitely a very up-beat song, and the cool thing about it is that it has several mini movements inside it. This is probably due to the fact that it is supposed to be for a Megaman Stage. By keeping the song varied and with several mini movements, the music is enjoyable even on repeat. Unlike other Megaman songs that can tire the ears after a few listens, the Galaxyman theme is very palatable. The first 10 seconds of the song is decent but is just a warm up to what happens next. There is fat arpeggios and sick drums. The melody is so slick and downright devious that it makes the listener feel like they are jamming through space and time.
Here’s a video so you can listen to the song for yourself.
