Contemplations on our Universe as a Problem Solving Simulation

The Destruction of Leviathan

Lately I’ve been thinking of ways to make hordes of money in order to satisfy myself, make myself attractive to women, create jobs, increase activity within the fractional reserve banking system and be able to have free time for what I really want to do. But in all my pondering, I keep getting taken back to one central idea: That in order to make the big bucks, I need to do or create something that will either create more of itself, or else something that people will want to purchase repeatedly over time…or both. So I’ve been working on music, and writing, and I even have dabbled in some computer programming. Then I got an idea for a story about a character who was in the exact same position that I’m in. Except my character was an excellent computer programmer.

As I thought about the story, I couldn’t help but wonder, “What is really going on here?” There is absolutely no guarantee that the universe we exist in could in fact be some simulation that another life-form has created. We could be here because we are supposed to solve problems. Whatever problem we are supposed to solve may not even be revealed to us until we reach a certain level of understanding of the universe and self-awareness. We could populate and colonize half the galaxy…we could conquer the entire universe for that matter, and that might not be the point. I think we are here so we can open communication with the creator. And I think we do so in a small way when we are creative. That’s why some people say, we “C0-Create” with the creator of the universe. There is something special about this.

Maybe we are here so we can learn how to create intelligent life. I think there’s something going on here right now. I seriously doubt humanity is the only group that is keeping a close eye on Earth right now.
