An advantage for desktop visitors is that the main page will display information in a more organized manner. And it will be easier for visitors with small and even large monitors to choose the articles of their interest with greater ease.

All site functions have now been moved to the left column. These functions include the Recent Posts, Time Index, and Central Archives. All functions such as the Security Matrix etc. that were originally on the left column as still there, in working order.

Thank you for visiting and please enjoy the transition.

Last night I was at Kevin – “That’s 70′s Guy’s” Karaoke. This took place at Durty Nelly’s Irish Pub in Costa Mesa. I have been to several places for Karaoke, and I have also been to Kevin’s karaoke blasts before. But last night was something special. The reason for this is that Kevin has new songbooks. Now, you may be thinking, “Who cares about songbooks? They’re just a bunch of songs with numbers right?” No, these Karaoke Songbooks were 10 times better than any songbook I’ve seen at a Karaoke place before. And they were way better than Kevin’s sold 3 ring binder books. Kevin completely revamped his system for noting the songs and the the organization and presentation was nothing less than phenomenal. Let’s go into more detail:

Most of the time when you go to a Karaoke Bar, the song books are huge, unwieldy pieces of laminated paper, strung together in a binder that is usually falling apart. The songs are usually organized in one book by artist name, and in another book by song title. And each song has a strange number that you need to write down that is something like CD-10189-BJ and if you misprint the code on the little sheet that you need to give to the Karaoke DJ, then you may get the wrong song or some kind of horrible version of the song.

Kevin’s new system is the best I’ve seen so far. First up, the book looks more like a professional strategy guide or a a thick graphic novel than a karaoke songbook. It is printed and bound and extremely easy to read and high quality. And instead of having to write down long song numbers, he has quite simply, the song names and the artist names. Another book has the same thing, but it is sorted by artist.

Kevin has an impressive computer system that organizes all the music and he can also find music that isn’t on the list. I’ve never seen such a sophisticated system for karaoke, and the only time I saw something that came close to it, was in New York where you had to pay a significant fee per song. But Kevin only asks for tips and there is no cover charge or charge per song.

Durty Nelly’s has friendly staff and that always is a big plus to the venue. Another good thing about Karaoke with Kevin at Durty Nelly’s is that the place fills up and there was a great deal of fun and excitement and exceptional singing last night.

This new type of Menu system is very cool and it was recently added to WordPress a couple months ago, but I didn’t think it would be as easy to set-up as it was. The interface to setup the menu systems in WordPress are highly intuitive, it reminds me of the widget system. And it is very simple to fix errors and make things more streamlined. So big thanks to WordPress for making that possible.

Also, I need to double check what dexterity does for casting as well as shield usage. I have a feeling dexterity affects the cast accuracy but I’m not sure about that. As for shield usage I may be confusing this game with LOD d2. So I need to double check that. I know for sure that I will want to rush the manipulation attribute in order to affect pricing. Also, I have a feeling appearance affects the awe ability so it is time for Christof to do some power walking and burn some calories.

Reporting live from Geary Street in San Francisco. A man just walked up to another man and asked for a cigarette. This is a normal occurrence in the city. The only difference is that the inquiring individual was multi-tasking by eating peanut butter from a plastic jar with his bare hands. No utensils needed here folks.

It may the beginning of June but walking out of the San Francisco international airport reminded me of Christmas. It must have been the cool air that had some slight humidity.

I wonder what would have happened if the two men decided to share the cigarette. The progenitor would have lent the item for a quick share and when he went to continue his smoke he would have noticed peanut butter all over it.

I’m already noticing that people are walking in stores and coffee shops with small and even larger sized dogs. This isn’t really allowed in Corona del Mar. San Francisco must be a moe laid back town…either that or else people are afraid that their dogs might get stolen if they tie them up.

I remember I was at the gym and I saw a dog tied up to a bench. Hopefully, the dog’s master wasn’t going to do a long workout. But that probably was what happened because the dog looked bored.

The worst part about having to re-render projects over and over again isn’t the time wasted as much as it is stress on he hard drive. After my last experience I’d like to minimize the amount o hard drive grinding at least until I switch to solid state.

Hopefully by the time I invest in a new despot the solid state drives go down in price.

Ok it looks like the audio quality is up to par now. I had to change the publish settings in flash to raw audio format in stereo in order to maintain he high quality audio recording I made for the presentation. It was counter intuitive because I didn’t expect to have to modify anything except he QuickTime export settings.

This must be karmic retribution for writing that article on cloud computing.

If the data is saved I will be able to continue working on the music video at a later time. But there is no way the laptop, “Overidon Claw” can handle an animation project that big. So I’ll have to postpone production temporarily.

Once I get a new computer capable of video editing and animation I’ll resume production. Until then the articles and other writing will continue as usual.

I didn’t know that YouTube was posting live stuff from Coachella. This is pretty cool. Kings of Leon is playing in Channel 1 right now and the picture quality and sound quality is great, especially for my sassy internet connection. I think Jordash is appreciating the show right now. He’s an alien that I drew on my napkin at Jack in the Box. When I drew him, I felt like he was opening communication from another world. Sure, it could just be napkin art. I concede that fact. But Jordash is more than just a passerby…he’s an Ambassador of sorts. With his left arm and hand outstretched he both consoles and summons me. I feel respect and appreciation as well as a deep seated fear of his agendas. Beneath those almond eyes are plans within plans and he understands my weaknesses with his clenched right fist that drags upon the floor.

This online webcast is very nice. I’ve never seen a live webcast with so many camera angles before. Whoever is directing the feed is doing a great job of keeping the angles interesting. And it even looks good full screen. Very nice.

This is impressive because YouTube has been mostly a repository for already created works. But if it starts to delve into this live stuff this could be something big. The “Connect with Twitter” thing is cool too, because I doubt that it counts toward comment post counts. This is because you are tweeting the comments in real time. Excellent idea. That way it won’t send a warning because someone is making too many comments.
