Sausage Surprise

It all started around midnight on September 8th, 2011. I was tired from a night of traveling and blogging, so a friend and I decided to get some Jack in the Box.
We went through the drive through. I ordered a Sourdough Jack and a single egg-roll of the Sanguine Order.
After opening the bag, I handed the appropriate contents to my friend and myself.
Then, my friend said that the box with the surprise in it was not his. Confused, I asked what it was. None of us knew…because of the mystery.
That’s where our story takes a turn for bizarre.
What is a human being, other than the sum of his or her decisions? What is a man, without the cells that support his frame?
With those questions in mind, I opened the container.
Within the black and clear unit of storage, sausages dwelled.
Why did the sausages be a part of my evening? I did not order them.
Maybe the person running the place thought that a couple young guys getting Jack in the Box at midnight needed some extra sausages in their lives.
Low and behold, there were two sausages in the box. No! There are three!
