Today I went to The Orange County Reverse Mortgage Luncheon. It took place at Benjies New York Deli, Restaurant and Lounge in Santa Ana. In this luncheon, my brother, Addison Jaggers gives information about Reverse Mortgages as well as a free lunch. (limited menu) If you want to learn about Revere Mortgages, then my brother is a good person to talk to. He is friendly and he is up-front with the facts about Reverse Mortgages and is willing to answer detailed questions on the subject. Here is a link to his website on Reverse Mortgages. Addison invited me to the luncheon so I could eat lunch and write a review of his presentation. The presentation lasted about an hour and we ate afterward. During the presentation Addison gave a very intimate, face-to-face talk with the people at the meeting. He discussed everything from a brief history of Reverse Mortgages, to how to apply for a Reverse Mortgage and the financial details and benefits of getting a Reverse Mortgage.
Even though Addison is my brother and I want him to be very successful in his Reverse Mortgage endeavors, objectively speaking, he gave an excellent presentation. The ladies he spoke with told me that he answered all of their questions and they felt more confident about getting a Reverse Mortgage in the future. Since I didn’t really know a lot about Reverse Mortgages I was able to learn a few things. I learned about the age requirements for getting a Reverse Mortgage, the difference between a lump sum and a credit-line, the habitation requirements, and other pieces of information.
The room that we met in was in the side, Hawaiian themed area of Benjies New York Deli and Restaurant. Addison basically gave his presentation with a large white-board and wrote down key points as he spoke. The food was pretty good. My sandwich could have been warmer, but it was toasted nicely and had a crispy texture. Also there was a great deal of meat on my sandwich. (I am not sure if my selected item was part of the limited menu) The water I ordered was good, it tasted clean and it was refreshing. The ladies ordered some strudel and asked me if I wanted some but I didn’t want to mess up my palate that I was saving for my sandwich so I declined. At this luncheon, you won’t have a huge seminar with a giant projector screen teaching you about Reverse Mortgages. Instead you will have a small intimate conversation and presentation that goes over the important parts of Reverse Mortgages. I think that most people would appreciate and enjoy the setting at Benjies because it is casual and comfortable.
If I was of the proper age and was interested in getting a Reverse Mortgage I would probably really enjoy Addison’s presentation. He is up front and fun to talk to.
